This month we started the IV Cultural Journalism Workshop. Unlike other years, the 2018 edition is semi-face to face with online activities. The face-to-face sessions will be held in Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, Zapotlan El Grande, Lagos de Moreno and Tepatitlán and for the first time people who live in these cities can register. One of the characteristics of the workshop is that it is practical and offers the opportunity to publish the work that is done.
The course is directed by Enrique Vázquez, journalist and culture editor of MILENIO JALISCO and a team of colleagues and columnists from that section participate. When receiving in the workshop high school students and people with advanced age and higher education degrees in any area of knowledge has originated a multidisciplinary environment in which they live: actors, dancers, musicians, communicators, historians, students of Letters and Philosophy and Systems Engineers, to mention a few examples, who have a vocation for journalism. The workshops are free and they offer a direct experience of the trade as well as allowing them to create a portfolio of curricular value works. So far, over the course of the three editions, little more than 20 people have been trained.
